The Pemi-Waterville region is made to be explored. Some of our hiking trails are hidden, like the amazing Welch-Dickey Loop. Others, such as the Sandwich Mountain Trail, lie right off the main roads, leading you above the trees to beautiful bald rock ledges and views that will take your breath away. The close-knit people here run businesses similar to secret treasures – outsiders may not know where to find them, but they are beloved by their community and always hopping busy. The staff are always happy to tell you where to find the nearest covered bridge, or the coolest waterfall in the area.
Waterville Valley is a little ski village at the conclusion of winding Route 49. Every year, locals and visitors enjoy the ski slopes, hot food and great retreats at the lodging in Waterville Valley, as well as activities for kids at the Recreation Department. It also has a wonderful athletic club with indoor and outdoor pools, a cardio room, weight room, and more. When the weather rules out hiking, you know where to go!
